Curriculum
Our 300-hour curriculum uses a scaffolding approach to assist yoga teachers in advancing in the role of professional yoga educator.
Week One. We focus on advanced asana and sequencing; advanced assisting and working with private clients; personal self-inquiry, including exploring a yogic lifestyle through yamas and niyamas in our shared learning environment; and integrating subtle body techniques into asana practice, including bandhas, mudras, and breath.
Week Two. We delve into current trends in yoga research and practice. You will learn how to teach yoga as a wellness intervention through applied somatic yoga and trauma-sensitive practices, and how to layer mindfulness and meditation into your practice and teaching. We give you a behind-the-scenes look at Nexus program creation and help you turn your talents and interests into a workshop or retreat of your own.
Week Three. We work with you as you define and hone your next steps as a yoga educator, including tools for branding, running retreats, workshops, and trainings. The training culminates in an immersive practicum participant workshops that express each person's unique area of interest.
