Planned for 2024
Open-enrollment for Nexus Institute 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga graduates.
If you graduated from another 200-hour Yoga Alliance School please contact us for an interview.
Advance your teaching and deepen your personal yoga practice. Our Yoga Alliance 300-hour yoga teacher training (commonly referred to as 500-hour training) is designed to strengthen your current yoga teaching and launch you into the next chapter of your yoga inquiry and career.
The 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training builds upon the 200-hour certification from Nexus Institute, enabling you to lead more advanced principles and techniques of yoga at the 500-hour level. You will graduate fully prepared and authorized to lead workshops, yoga teacher trainings, and continuing education programs in conjunction with the Yoga Alliance.
The curriculum that we follow will enhance and broaden your understanding of the fundamental concepts that you learned at the 200-hour level. We draw inspiration from modern yoga scholarship and from the lived experience of our training participants. We believe that each group comes together to learn from one another and to take our place in evolving yoga for our time and circumstances. As such, our 300-hour training places more emphasis on individual expression and creativity. Nexus graduates are uniquely qualified to facilitate robust learning experiences through advanced teaching practices, workshops, retreats, and trainings.
Because of the unique perspective of each participant, our curriculum continues to evolve in service to our current global community. Our school, and the world, is enriched by the dedicated yoga explorers who we have the honor of welcoming back to Nexus Institute.
Nexus Institute is a Registered Yoga School with the U.S. Yoga Alliance.
Nexus Institute's 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training results in an advanced 500-hour yoga teacher certification in North America and around the world.
Our 300-hour curriculum uses a scaffolding approach to assist yoga teachers in advancing in the role of professional yoga educator.
Week One we focus on advanced asana, assisting, and sequencing; a review of the Yoga Sutras; personal self-inquiry; and integrating subtle body techniques into asana practice including bandhas, mudras, and breath.
Week Two special emphasis is placed on working with energy through mindful yoga, breathwork, and meditation. We give you a behind the scenes look at Nexus program creation and help you turn your talents and interests into a workshop or retreat of your own.
Week Three we work with you as you define and hone your next steps as a yoga educator including tools for branding, running retreats, workshops, and trainings. The training culminates in a three days of participant workshops that express each persons unique area of interest.
Upon graduation, you are fully authorized to teach yoga at the advanced level and to offer yoga workshops, retreats, and training programs in the U.S., and in the rest of the world. We are a U.S. Yoga Alliance School. The U.S. Yoga Alliance is recognized internationally.
The 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training is an immersive program consisting of 220 contact hours and 80 non-contact hours in a family-style dedicated training environment.
